Well they say every man has his price…. And to be honest I struggled to let this go because it’s one amazing natural history piece, but I do already have a whole one in my collection, although this one is bigger than my original.
This Coco De Mer has been made into a box with a hinge one side. The clasp on the opposite side seems to be missing but this does not affect the look what so ever.
There is also a bolt holding the back section together which has slight give to it because it is infact two sections, rather than a whole piece.
These are getting rarer to find and harder to obtain.
This is a very large seed pod and what a talking point!
In good overall condition commensurate with age, although with scratches/ abrasions and chips, missing securing clasp to one side.
