CHINESE CARVED BONE
A set of four individually carved bone figures, each one is totally unique and completely hand done.
I was told by the prestige auction house that I bought these from several years ago that they believe they are from the early 1800s.
These must of taken a long time to carve, The detail into each one and stain/ paint the areas that have a hint of colour are done so beautifully.
Even the small wooden stands are carved to help stand each individual figure and no two are the same.
As you can see one has been damaged in its life but does not detract what so ever… only enhances the life they have seen.
Each one has been carved signed on the bottom.
